Model Details
TORQ Shaft uses sculpted shaft arms to support the frame during ball contact. Si3D combines a flexible hoop with a stiffer throat, giving those areas different bending characteristics. The Airfoil Bumper shapes the headguard to reduce air resistance around the hoop. Wilson positions the 98 Pro for high-level baseline players seeking controllable spin.
Compared with the Pure Strike 100 16/20 Gen4, the Defyer has 2 in² less head area. Both weigh 305 g unstrung and use 16 main and 20 cross strings. The Defyer’s 315 mm unstrung balance point is 5 mm farther from the handle end than the Pure Strike’s 310 mm. Both are 27 in long.
